American Studies remains committed to promoting discussion on pedagogy, as well as meeting the needs of both research and teaching institutions within our region. One way we fulfill this commitment is through the “On Teaching” feature, which focuses on issues relevant to the American Studies classroom. While this feature has long been a fixture of the journal, we are now expanding it to the blog.
Submissions for the “On Teaching” column should be around 700 words. Columns should focus on any aspect of teaching, including issues such as teaching methods, using social media in the classroom, or teaching American studies outside of an American Studies department. Please suggest at least one graphic to go with your column. All submissions will be reviewed by an editor before being posted, and changes may be requested at that time.
